Responsible research training, including training on "Use of Humans as
Experimental Subjects", is often required by government and private
agencies before proposals and grants can be approved. Currently, this
training is done through a book and test from the University of Rochester,
and people who pass the test are recorded in COEUS. OSP and COUHES
(Committee on Use of Humans as Experimental Subjects) is creating new
content by June, and would like it to be available on the web for people
who need to be trained by the end of summer.
This month's accomplishments (June 2001)
- Decided to host content with Netcasters; contract is being reviewed now
by attorneys
- Based on sponsor (Julie Norris) conversation with Bob Redwine, we may
record passing scores for students who are trained
Next Month's Plans (July 2001)
- Sign hosting contract; have Netcasters upload content and make
modifications per agreement
- Summarize certfication & training learnings in short report for project
notebook
Issues
- none
