Accomplishments of the past period:
Met with ASPCC to present our recommendations for guidelines.
Drafted process map for registering to sell goods/services at MIT.
Drafted a web form for applying to sell goods/services and for
obtaining a merchant number.
Met with sponsors to review process and forms for obtaining an MIT
merchant number and to discuss how exceptions to
advertising policy will be handled.
Goals for next period:
Meet with Audit department to draft mechanisms to check compliance
with guidelines.
Revise application for for web merchants.
Create a list of criteria questions to determine whether or not
advertising in a given case should be allowed.
Schedule a meeting with Larry Benedict and others in RSLP to discuss
issues related to student groups.
