Good morning,
My apologies for the duplicate posting to many of you, but I want
to encourage you to attend the *MG meeting this coming Tuesday. There will
be aspects of the survey results that will have impacts for Discovery and
for project leaders in general.
Thanks,
Greg

Next Tuesday -- December 5, 2000, 2-4 pm, W11 Main Dining Room -- OCMG
will host a review of the IS Customer Satisfaction Survey: What did we
learn? What will we do with what we learned?
Most of you are aware that for the past several months the IS Measures
Team has been at work constructing a survey asking faculty, students, and
staff about IS's work. That survey was made available early in November
and responses received from 600 people. Responses came from faculty
(13%), students (42%), and administrative staff (45%). Statistically, the
results are "accurate" at the 90-95 percentile.
When you see the results you will note that we can be very proud of much
that we do. However, there are a number of areas where we are not meeting
the needs of our customers and where our service must improve.
Yesterday at ITLT we reviewed the survey and identified several areas that
we want to focus on for improvements. On Tuesday, the team and I want to
share their results with you, see if you agree with ITLT on the areas to
focus on for improvement, and ask you to help us identify next steps.
Because of the importance of this topic, I really urge you to make the
time available on your calendar and attend. This discussion is
particularly important to our future work.
I look forward to seeing you on Tuesday afternoon...............jim
