Hello,
The purpose of this message is to inform you of the existence of, and
solicit your feedback on a draft document about business modeling for
Discovery teams. The document is intended to explain and demystify the
concept of business models and provide some assistance to Discovery teams
as they sort out the various business and financial issues and impacts of
their projects. The document currently resides at:
http://web.mit.edu/is/dontindex/dev/bus-model.html
This is a living document. Over time, I expect that we will revise and
add to it.
(For one thing, I would like to add more examples, and clean up the Tether
model document that's currently linked.) Now and as we move forward, your
feedback is important to make the document more useful and comprehensive to
teams, team leaders, and others. In addition to your feedback about
content, I would also appreciate your input on potential audiences for this
document, communication strategies,
and so on.
Please send your comments, questions, suggestions, etc. to me <ljr@mit.edu>.
Thanks,
-Lorraine
