Accomplishments of the past period:
Met with sponsors for buy-in on charter.
… Formally announced the project and created the Project Notebook
… Formed team and began meetings.
… Created a work plan.
… Created list of interviewees to include: stakeholders, resources and
merchants.
… Created an interview tool and began interviews of peer institutions for
best practices.
Goals for next period:
… Complete interviews of peer institutions
… Begin interviews of stakeholders and merchants
Issues:
… In our charter we have stated that issues related to "educational"
e-commerce would be forwarded to Steve Lerman who would take them to the
appropriate faculty committees. In meeting with the sponsors there was some
concern that the faculty may come up with a set of recommendations which
are not consistent with the team's recommendations. The team is looking
into ways that we can satisfy both the concerns expressed by Steve as well
as the need for consistent guidelines.
… The team realizes that the major work will be in obtaining buy-in and
consent across the various constituencies of the Institute.
Team Dynamics:
… I feel that we have a good small working team with the necessary skill
sets. We also have a number of individuals who will serve as consultants to
the team.
