Accomplishments Past Period:
- Work on final version of the RFP continues. We've handed it around
to a number of individuals both in and outside of the libraries for
feedback and we're incorporating the suggested changes.
- Finalized extended vendor demonstration dates for two consecutive
weeks starting in July: July 24 (Sirsi), July 31 (Ex-Libris).
- Talked with Ray Cheng from MIT Audit division about
SAP/library system integration issues: whom do we need to
contact in the SAP hierarchy to discuss our functional needs,
and scheduling a discussion session between MIT SAP
representative(s) and the vendors during the extended demo
weeks.
- For future reference, contacted Susan Minai-Azary about
Oracle site licensing documentation which will be needed for
our selected vendor.
Goals for the coming period:
- Submit final draft of the RFP to Steering Committe. Pending final
approval we'll mail it to vendors.
