Accomplishments past period:
- Completed Executive Report
- Presented Executive Report to Sponsors
- Completed full report for HR-Payroll Discovery team members
- Dan, Greg, and Margaret Ann Gray met with Bob McKersie to continue
discussions regarding change issues associated with project.
- Dan continued work on project planning for implementation and building
core team.
- Members of Discovery visited Duke U. for meeting on Duke's HR-Payroll
efforts.
- Dan has completed first version of project budget.
Goals for the coming period:
- Discovery is now complete
- Continue to work with Profs. Bob McKersie and Ed Schein to continue work
on change issues.
- Continue to work on project plan
- Move forward on next steps
Issues:
- Insuring continuous alignment and coordination of activities in this
large, high-impact project requires total commitment and support from the
Institute.
- The transition from Discovery to Delivery for this project requires time,
alignment, identity, and patience. Everyone would like to move forward
quickly, but a lot of details need attention.
Key learnings
- Getting through the transition from recommending what we want to do to
actually getting that work underway is difficult.
Team dynamics:
- Team's work is complete; a celebration and de-briefing is in order and
will be scheduled.
Additional comments:
