Accomplishments for the past period:
- held first meeting with Advisory Group; received confirmation that
the team's work is on the right track; team highlighted pending
staffing needs for business modeling & technical subteams;
project timeline to be adjusted after formation of subteams;
discussed core team staffing issues
- received and began reviewing consultant's report on another
university from Xerox
- developed draft data gathering interview script
- met with Sponsor and Jim Morgan to discuss core team staffing issues
Goals for the coming period:
- review core team staffing options and resolve with Sponsor & Morgan
- finish review of Xerox report and modify data gathering accordingly
- begin developing thoughts about useful metrics
- finalize data gathering interview script
- begin scheduling interviews (carry over)
- develop draft plan for focus groups
- update Tim McGovern on current efforts in prep for data gathering;
incorporate Tim's feedback on team's overall plan & specifically
on the data gathering efforts
- develop consultant cost estimate for budget projection purposes
Issues:
- core team staffing continues to be an issue which we need to resolve
- timeline adjustment may be required after subteam formations
Key learnings:
Having a healthy and strong team is key for surviving difficult
challenges. Check-in meeting with Advisory Group was overdue and
very useful.
Team dynamics:
The team has experienced a difficult loss of one of its members.
Carol Van Aken was a shining example of commitment, dedication, courage
and tremendous strength. She will be greatly missed by all.
