Accomplishments past period:
- Met with sales representative from Trintech.
- Acquired specs, pricing info., and evaluation software from Trintech
- Outlined comparison of Trintech vs. Open Market products and began to
evaluate issues and tradeoffs with each, including:
- front-end integration with existing/new merchant web sites - how
easy is product to integrate, what are the support issues?
- back-end integration with SAP and other databases - how much
additional development work is required?
- back-end integration with financial institutions - is the
product adaptable?
- pricing - outright buy versus monthly/annual fee (does our
strategy vis-a-vis SAP's future offerings impact which
strategy is the better deal?)
Goals for coming period:
- Meet with Jim Morgan to come to agreement on SAP issue
- Install and play with Trintech's evaluation software
- Decide (or get really close to a decision) on a product
- Refine business model as necessary.
