Accomplishments past period:
- Abby and Naomi: devised grid of cluster renewal scenarios
vs. stakeholder impact (based on interviews of internal
stakeholders and faculty responses).
- Abby: drafted some phaseout scenarios for Athena support of
dept. SGIs (both ACS-granted and privately purchased).
- Abby: prepared notes for discussion of transition options for
dependent courses, did some research on OpenInventor availability
for non-SGIs.
- Naomi: continued to process faculty questionnaire responses,
distributed summary to team.
- Team: discussed most of the above, conclusions in 19991022 mtg
notes. Since work is largely concluded but draft of report was not
yet ready, we did not meet 19991029.
Goals for the coming period:
- Gather final data
- Draft final report

- Waiting for replies from 3partysw vendors and SGI

Additional comments:
Some questions about which data to include in final report. This has
largely been a fact-finding mission, and all gathered data should be
made available to the project sponsor, but some may not be
appropriate for broad MIT distribution.
