Project Name: Enterprise Printing
Project Leader: Dave Lambert
Report Date: 04/22/1999
Project Notebook: http://web.mit.edu/is/discovery/enter-print/
Accomplishments for the past period:
- held first focus groups (BLT & R3-Admin) & 4/8 ITLT check-in
- debriefed from ITLT check-in and discussed options for addressing
the homework assignment (How can we speed up the project or obtain
benefits from this work sooner rather than later?)
- developed a new and clarified list of sponsor accountabilities
- performed a whole bunch of 1-on-1 interviews & documented same on Web
- debriefed on first focus groups and revamped future plans accordingly
- identified another enthusiastic potential technical design resource
- held 1-on-1 check-in with original sponsor and project leader;
held 1-on-1 check-in with Greg
- did more work to help with the drafting of the business modeling charter;
investigated other business modeling plans (slim pickings)
Goals for the coming period:
- draft response to ITLT to address the homework assignment (see above)
- begin bi-weekly project team/sponsors check-in meetings
- hold meeting with targeted technical design resources to clarify
work via new charter & deliverables; obtain commitments (carry over)
- hold more 1-on-1 interviews and document same; nearing the end of the
1-on-1 interviews (hooray!)
- present and get feedback at 4/28 I/T Partners
- develop plan for documenting focus group feedback
- schedule more focus groups with revamped gameplan
- continue efforts to finalize business modeling charter & deliverables
Issues:
none
Key learnings:
The ITLT homework assignment sparked some productive discussions
regarding this project's structure and the desire to reap benefits
as soon as possible. Will share more here when ideas are more
thoroughly developed.
Team dynamics:
The team felt good about our ITLT check-in. No issues were raised which
the team had not already identified and discussed to some degree.
Additional comments:
