ACCOMPLISHMENTS PAST PERIOD:
- Received and mounted two more e-theses, making the totals to date:
4 mounted
1 on hold
1 in process
- Communicated with the three departments in the project to enlist more
student participation for May thesis submissions. Met with enthusiastic
response.
- Beginning to discuss ways to build the e-thesis collection with new
theses not submitted electronically.
GOALS FOR THE COMING PERIOD:
- Add content to the Holds database. [still a holdover]
- Discuss/resolve concerns of TLO regarding possible dangers of prompt
online publication of theses.
ISSUES:
One of the great benefits of e-theses -- prompt online availability -- is
turning out to be one of the thorniest problems to overcome with regard to
some legal/intellectual property issues.
