In the crowded field of security problems and techniques
related to commercial transactions over the Internet (SSL, https, SET,
and so on), I haven't met Kerberos yet.
Perhaps this is due to the difficulties inherent in maintaining a highly
available, but very secure, database of secret keys for a very large
number of users?
Is any study or implementation available about applications of Kerberos
authentication system in the field of commercial Web servers (secure
transactions over the Internet)?
