OK, I've made enough progress to know I was asking the wrong question
last time. :-) Let me rephrase it:
When processing the AUTH-ENCRYPT option (Internet Draft by J. Galvin, S.
Murphy, and D. Balenson) what encryption type should I use with
Kerberos 4? (To quote the draft, "...the data stream is to be
encrypted in both directions using the encryption method specified for
the authentication type".)
My choice would appear to be between the DES CFB and OFB modes.
Ted T'so or others at MIT, have you implemented this option? What DES
mode did you use?
Stephen
