Project description:

I manage a lab with a suite of instruments generating data for users. Presently we implement a file server with remote FTP access to allow users to downlad their data. We have a series of lab computers for data analysis. I would like to explore how win.mit.edu could ease the management associated with maintenance of this group of computers. Particularly I am interested in the central login capability using Kerberos identities of MIT users.
I would like to start by joining my desktop to the domain, in order to learn how it works.
Thanks.
