Subject:TSM 5.2 Release Effort Underway Announcement
Good Afternoon,
I am pleased to announce that the TSM 5.2 release effort has begun. TSM 5.2
is the latest version of the backup/archive client from IBM for the Windows
and Macintosh(OS X) platforms.
New Features and Improvements to TSM 5.2 include:
-Mac: Scheduling can now be done as a "StartupItem" which allows TSM to
handle scheduled events without requiring a user to be logged in.
-Windows: Open file support will allow files open by other applications to
now be backed up and ASR support will facilitate "Bare metal" restores.
The TSM 5.2 Release Team will send updates throughout the process. For more
information on TSM 5.2 and the release effort, see the TSM 5.2 release
notebook at http://web.mit.edu/swrt/releases/tsm.
