As usual win.mit.edu Container Admins will meet 11:00-1:30 this week,
Friday, 25 July in E19-750. Lunch will be provided.
This is an important time to meet. The Pismere and OpenAFS auto
deployments are around the corner - our current schedule slates a
Domain-wide assign for 8/01-8/08. We want to learn from each
Container Admin when is the most realistic deployment time.
Currently, GP deployment will be your choice for only one week after
the meeting, so if you do not speak up by 8/08, we assume you are
ready. This is *soon,* so please attend or speak up.
Preliminary agenda:
Deployment of pismire.msi and openafs.msi
What additional testing do you need?
When will this be pushed to all machines?
Is there an opt-out? If so for how long?
Win2K SP4, related to OpenAFS
XP SP1 certificate issue?
IE6, related to XP SP1 certificate issue
Unicode filename issue?
RPC vulnerability - push to entire domain?
Release of other MSIs: Oracle not until campus release date...
