The original intended audience of this document was ops@mit.edu (so,
internal to IS). I don't know if it, as it stands, is appropriate for
container admins or domain users in general. The underlined material was
my additions to an MCSE training kit about group policy (originally this
was just in a different color. Perhaps they should be non-underlined, in a
different color, and preceded by something like "Win.Mit.Edu-specific:").
Feel free to change the tone of these comments, as well as that of the
section called "Additional Group Policy Information" which was not part of
any Microsoft training kit.
As for the content of the document, some of it is a little out-of-date, but
it's mostly fine.
The audience though... I'd say it's mostly useful for domain admins and
container admins.

This entire document is really intended only for domain admins. The
comments were additions I made later for ops people, and I think I need to
rewrite the whole document anyway to reflect recent changes in the
SelfMaint code. Container admins might have some use for this document,
just to understand how things work. But it doesn't really mention anything
they have control over.
Again, I don't care if the document is editied for tone.

It's easy enough. I've replaced
http://web.mit.edu/is/topics/windows/server/winmitedu/images/logon.gif with
a (hopefully) nicer-looking image. (The old image is still there as
http://web.mit.edu/is/topics/windows/server/winmitedu/images/logonOLD.gif.)
Make sure to only display the new image at its default resolution (417x270)
or it will end up looking as ugly as the old image.
