Preparing to cutover from Project DB

Miki,
We're getting very close to the point when we will want
to have the Project DB shut down. We now expect that an
announcement will go out to infosys early next week. That
message will point people to the new IS Work Database.
Soon after that announcement, we would like two things to
happen:
1) the Oracle based Project DB should be deactivated;
&
2) the web server which served up the old Project DB
on arachne should redirect any http requests to a new URL;
http://web.mit.edu/is/work/
Please let me know if you have any questions. I will
send you explicit go-ahead mail when the time has come to take the
steps above, but wanted to give you a heads up in advance.
