Problems with reauth utility.

Hi,

I picked up the reauth program from the afs-contrib area in
the transarc.com cell, and ran into problems while testing it.

To ensure that it indeed works correctly, I started it up to
reauthenticate every 5 min. (300 secs.) and noticed that it stopped
after a few hours without any user intervention.

I attached to the process using dbx and noticed it had stopped
in a call to the Function LWP_CreateProcess().

Attempting to send a SIGUSR2 to the process (which should cause
it to reauth), makes it die with an error message:

   "***LWP No READY processes"
   "***LWP Aborting --- dumping PCB's"

Restarting the program immediately, results in its running
correctly again for a few hours before entering a stopped state with
the same symptoms.

This leads us to believe that we are running into some hard
limit which does not allow a process to reauthenticate indefinitely.

Can anyone shed some light on the problem, and suggest
possible solutions ? We will need to have processes that are
guaranteed running authenticated at all times.

This test was performed on Sun Workstations running SUNOS 4.1.1
The same error also manifested itself on IBM Risc/6000's running
Aix 3.1.

Here is the output from the attempt to attach to the reauth program
running on a Sun Sparc2 running SUNOS 4.1.1
