I'm trying to setup a backup procedure on my AFS server and would appreciate
some advice. For now, I'm focusing on backing up the "user" volumes. I layed
it out to:

1. Run a Bos cron job each night to make new backup volumes.

2. Early each morning, have operations run backup and dump the backup
volumes to tape.

Is that the way to do it?

One problem I'm having is that the Bos cron job is failing. It's defined in
the /usr/afs/local/BosConfig file like:

bnode cron backupusers 1
parm /usr/afs/bin/vos backupsys -prefix user -localauth
parm 1:00
end

But each night I get an error in /usr/afs/logs/BosLog like:

Fri Mar 27 01:00:16 1992: cron job backupusers exited with non-zero code 255

But when I run the "vos backupsys" command interactively, it works. Any
suggestions?

Thanks!
