I recently had the same problem. We discovered the problem, loading the microcode
to fix the tape drives.
A very basic question: I see the work around, but the problem does not go away ?
or have I missed something in the discussion ?
My system recovery time was about 80 hours. Is there a permanent solution, forthcoming,
or just this work around ?
