Thanks; that turned out to be the key to allowing me to log in to the machine
with my home directory in afs.
Liz Hines recently posted some notes about afs on the NeXT. One of them was:
>b) give system:anyuser write access to each users' .NeXT directory
This is not sufficient. Marc is right; you need system:anyuser k on ~/.NeXT
Still doesn't solve me problem with fs reporting ``illegal instruction", but I'm
making progress now. Thanks everyone.
