Does anyone know --

1) Is byte-range locking going to be implemented in an AFS release (I know
the answer for DCE) and if so when?

2) What kind of support does Transarc provide for vendors porting their
applications to work in AFS? In particular, what type of relationship does
Transarc build with a vendor that wants to develop something that will work in
AFS but will not now because of:
	a) lack of byte-range locking support
	b) file locking problems

For example, is it possible for ya'll to set up a cell for a limited time
without license fees (or something to this effect) for those vendors who need a
test environment to verify the file locking stuff (when this gets implemented
in AFS 3.2)?

Thanks in advance.
