Hello
I'm curious if any of the PC/NFS vendors have expressed interest in
doing a AFS version 3 -or- a OSF DFS package.
A user on a pc/mac could validate themself, then start accessing the
AFS/DFS filesystem in the same way as a unix client. Our PC users
could then improve their environment; namely better performance than
NFS, ability to operate on slower comm lines and access to a large
pool of disk space (the afs/dfs filespace).
Once OSF/DFS becomes popular we'll certainly see PC implementations occuring.
Comments? Pointers to mac/ibmpc software?
