Running an AFS/NFS translator on a Sun IPC, I've encountered a problem
getting knfs to work on the translator.

  - Using the procedure for authenticating a user from a non-AFS-
supported NFS client (login to translator, klog, knfs) gives
    the error

knfs: failed to copy tokens (code 1)

  - Issuing the same knfs command from root (holding the AFS tokens
    for the same client) works.

Is knfs supposed to be setuid root? It is not installed that way
off the distribution nor is it documented as needing root privilege.
Are the error codes (code 1, 22) documented somewhere?
