Subject: rs_aix31 cache strangeness
Date: Fri, 12 Jul 91 09:11:36 +22322638
From: paw@rigel.Dartmouth.EDU

Has anyone else had problems with caching on the RS/6000s?
Every once and awhile, it appears that the cache fills up and can't find
anything to free. This results in all manner of file system
strangeness until the cache is manually flushed (we wind up
setting the cache size to way small, and then making it bog
again). The problem doesn't _appear_ to be related to cache size
(though we're admittedly running a small cache - only 25MB), nor
are we running out of space on the /usr/vice/cache partition.

Is this a known bug?
