X11R4 XDM authentication and/or additional documentation

Has anyone out there implemented a X11R4 XDM which does
AFS/Kerberos authentication?

Also, we have a need for additional online documentation. The distributed
man pages do not include much beyond a listing of the command options and
a one-liner for each. Most Unix system man pages provide a lot more
detail about what a command does.

We have a need for both reference material and a general overview of the
filesystem to be available on-line. Distributing potentially large
quantities of the Command Reference Manual and User Guide seems
problematic. Has anyone on this list developed additional materials
for their site?

Finally, is there a common approach to either modifying or replacing
chmod (to do {potentially recursive} "fs setacl") or "ls -l" to provide
accurate (or at least not misleading) AFS info. At a minimum it seems
like you want these commands to print a warning that they're being
invoked on AFS files. Thoughts?
