Hello list,
I am testing hesiod for deployment. I have it working fine on Linux,
which is what we use for most computing, but I'd also like to get it
working on FreeBSD and/or OpenIndiana (Solarisish).
I have hesinfo working properly on a newly installed FreeBSD 11 file
server, but getent doesn't seem to find the records, nor make any dns
queries (according to tcpdump)=20
Here's what I have in nsswitch.conf ('dns' is the right source name
according to the FreeBSD man page for nsswitch.conf):
group: files dns
passwd: files dns
(I've also tried putting 'hesiod' in the sources list, no luck).
Any word from the Hesiod experts? I figure I'm out of luck on obscure
Solaris derivatives, but I figure it doesn't hurt to ask :)
