Here are the notes from the 12/3 Delivery Council. Thanks to Jag for getting most of this.
Attending: jag, ljr, mjv, rferrara, tomt, wdc

ROUNDTABLE
- IBM showed up at OWLS, idea to possibly generate new Athena install media every 6 months to accommodate hardware updates (esp for Linux)
- Two new merchants went live in the credit card project (Tau Beta Pi, Tech Review)
- Grainger will be going live in the next few days, public rollout in January 2003
- We will do our own Mozilla build since we can't guarantee the same platform number from vendor providers
- Two large surveys for COFHE, one possible for Harvard (survey of the faculty)
- Calendaring delivery project getting ready, may be called TechTime
- Building 37 cluster moving along, documentation developing
- WinAthena team working on IE6, XP, and certificate work
- WDC helped Theresa on RedHat update server; interest in looking at how it's similar / different from Athena updates.
BUDGET
- Reviewed Budget numbers at this point. Jim Bruce's office is drafting a version for ITLT review at the 12/12 meeting.
- Mentioned bandwidth cost dropping which may save IS money (Genuity / Level 3: http://www.level3.com/press/3053.html agreement)
- Timeline is to submit letter to John Curry on 12/16, JDB will meet with Curry in mid-January, hopefully receive response by February

OPEN: one-pager on Unix Athena cost savings (WDC)
OPEN: one-pager: historical changes in Athena costs (WDC)
DONE: talk with Roger R. re Larry Stone $ and use of Athena servers (RVF)
OPEN: meet with Dan F. to clarify HR-Payroll commitments and requirements (RVF, MCA)
OPEN: document "cost shifts" created by new, improved services (MCA)
WAIT UNTIL FULL PRODUCTION: talk with Medical re ECAT/Credit card intersection (LJR)
ONGOING: investigate use of Athena servers to speed up server set-up (WDC)
OPEN: future DC meeting agenda: formal exposure to OKI
OPEN: study OKI common service defn's vs. Athena services (WDC)
OPEN: restate invitation to Directors to deploy WinAthena (Desktops only) (Tom T.)
