This month's accomplishments (March 2002)
=B7 Interviewed and hired a programmer/analyst II.
=B7 Presented and overview of the MIT Data Warehouse to Duke and=
Coffey.
=B7 Continued work on creating metadata, setting up the AAUDE=
Warehouse
metadata webpage.
=B7 Coordinated with Bea Frain (Provost=92s Office) to load more CIP=
=20
cross walk
data for various institutions into the AAUDE Data Warehouse.
=B7 Completed the NSF R&D Research Expenditures by Discipline exchange=
=20
item (AAUDE).
=B7 Created the Financial Aid Federal Work Study dimension tables.
=B7 Worked with SSIT to add a flag in the Student table to prevent any=
=20
home
address (in cases where home address was filled in for term=20
address because
of a setup in a MITSIS address hierarchy) from showing in the=20
on-line directory.
=B7 Working on streamlining and refining the existing graduate award=
=20
reports.
Created two dimension tables with more descriptive text fields for=
=20
the coded fields.
Added full_name to the student term enrollment table to simplify=20
the joins.
=B7 Implemented new wrapper; lookup-passthrough.
=B7 Added PGP encryption to cert users extract.
=B7 Worked with database group to test taj Oracle upgrade.
=B7 Investigated Oracle/Perl problem exposed by TAJ upgrade &=20
implemented solution.
=B7 Met with Purchasing to discuss feeding Dun=92s data into the DW.
=B7 Met with Larry Connelly to discuss new document types for Accounts=

Receivable.
It was decided that this data does not need to be in the DW.
=B7 Met with Mike Katerina and Jennifer Kratochwill to discuss new Org=

hierarchy.
=B7 Continued researching reporting tools.
=B7 Loaded the Student Payroll Data beginning with fiscal year 2001;
data currently available to CAO and will be rolled out to the=20
community
once decision is made on access control.
