Project Name: Parking Project
Project Leader: Esther Yanow
Report Date: May 8, 2002 (for April)
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/parking-web

Accomplishments in April

* Continued to work with the Barrett team on the Web interface
design. We are close to finalizing the prototypes.

* Continued coding the parking registration Web application. A draft
version of the application is now up on the development web server
for the team to test.

* Helped plan and conduct the Usability testing.

* Supplied the test file of parker information to the McGann systems
group who are working on building the import function.

Goals for May
--------------------

* Integrate Barrett's delivered interface design into our code.

* Extract violation information from the Parking Office's Cardinal
system and import it into our database.

* Help plan next round of usability tests on the live application.

* Notify all the parking coordinators that certificates are required
for this application.

* Start writing the appropriate FAQ's for each Web page.

Next Community Milestone

Rollout to the community is expected to be in July 2003. Usability
activities, testing, and Parking Coordinators focus groups will be
involved before then.

We are planning training sessions for the parking coordinators in June.

Learnings

It's important to stay within the scope of the project.

Issues

None
