Project Name: Parking Project
Project Leader: Esther Yanow
Report Date: March 5, 2002 (for February)
URL: http://web.mit.edu/is/delivery/parking-web

Accomplishments in February

* Selected Barrett Communications, Inc. as the Web designer for the
Parking application and held the first kickoff meeting with the
design team.
* Met with the EAST representative, Tom Grayson, who will take over
the project after the Delivery phase.
* Clarified specific functions that need further attention: paper
people process, carpools, department vehicles, etc.
* Started working on a student and non-student announcement schedule.
* Put the Parking Manual online.

Goals for March

* Continue to meet with the design team and select a design for the
parking application.
* Prepare for Usability testing.
* Ensure that Tom Grayson is on board and working with the programmer.
* Meet with ASST to discuss the type of service that will be needed
starting in July.
* "PDF" the appropriate parking forms.
* Review the rollout and support plans.

Next Community Milestone

Rollout to the community is expected to be in July 2003. Usability
activities, testing, and Parking Coordinators focus groups will be
involved before then.

Learnings

We are moving along and looking forward to having a new design and
look for the parking application.

Issues

None
