Hello, 

Here are the minutes from the March 3rd Delivery Council. In attendance were khiggins, tomt, thg, jag, ljr, msnow, rferrara, wdc, thorne. Absent mjv, mca. Please note that the Delivery Council on March 17 is cancelled, and a smaller group will be meeting on Friday, March 21 at 2PM in W92-199 for Performance Appraisal calibrations. 

Updates -
- Bob Redwine visit. Fairly well received. Not too many specifics. 
- Wade Award. Nominees by 3/7
- Support Strategy Group meeting. Bob met with them on Friday. Handful of action items.
- Windows planning/sponsor updates. Vision statement out, meeting every other Wednesday. 
- Departmental Application Development proposal. Rich Garcia is writing up proposal. 
- Facilities request for Insite evaluation. Tom Grayson, Jim Repa, and Bob F. met with Facilities last week. Code still to come. 

Roundtable
- Tom G: EAST working on public release of events calendar out; goal to have tarball and TLO release by 3/10
- Kerem: Windows Delivery working to announce Design Assistance & Review Team (DART)
- Bill: Athena 9.2 in good shape
- Lorraine: Two new card merchants: daycamp and conference services
- Jag: COFHE surveys going well, Harvard survey almost definitely not happening
- Ken H: will be visiting people later
- Bob F. on vacation from 3/6 through 3/11. Bill Cattey from 3/19 to 3/30.

Budget Update and ITLT responses
- FY03 opportunities - WISE, File person, etc.
- Review of John Curry's FY04 response, effectively a 10 per cent cut.
- FY2005 outlook is also in 7 per cent range. 

Comments on Team Leader Evaluations and Performance Appraisals
- went over primary reviewers list
- calibration guidelines for all Delivery staff; needs a meeting on Friday, March 21 - subset of people who are primary reviewers
- rating to Bob Ferrara by March 19
- No Delivery Council on March 17
- TL Assessment survey online; questions to Mark if needed

Review of All-Delivery material - (now 3/4 at 2PM in 20 Chimneys)
- people gave reactions/suggestions for Bob, Tom, Kerem material
- prepped/edited agenda names

OKI discussion - Scott Thorne
- a lot of people looking at the API and using them; reactions all around
- a lot of the activity outside MIT; working with vendors and the like to get adoption up
- waiting until June/July timeframe for renewal of funding with stronger case - startup in summer timeframe
- looking at other sources of funding to not be tied to one time cycle for funding
- OKI owns them - license says no modification to API, any implementation ok - source on sourceforge.
- middle of March stuff will go out; should have proper documentation around it
- still generating a lot of interest
- eUniversity: Sun project in England - http://www.sun.com/products-n-solutions/edu/announcements/hefce.html
- pushing for big meeting in summer (July) to see if things interoperate
