I am reporting part of a conversation with a SF bookstore owner that I
overheard between 1 and 2 years ago. He was discussing distribution of
small-press publications. I don't think he had first-hand experience with
Amazon, and things change in any case.

Printing books is out of scope for my home printer, and I can't curl up in
bed to read a web page. Maybe if I got an iBook with AirPort, but I still
think a real book is better for reading than even the best computer display.
I like cross-list threads like this one, but I hate the way all the other
lists bounce my reply's. NetBSD.org allows outside posts to its lists and
has some effective way to eliminate spam. Pity nobody else seems to.
Signature failed Preliminary Design Review.
Feasibility of a new signature is currently being evaluated.
