The picture shows a curved reflective sheet *behind*
an enclosed horizontal spark gap a few inches long.  The
sheet is curved (parabolic?) around a vertical axis.  

There is a square horn section *in front of* the gap.  In the picture, the
horn has been moved to the side; there seem to be two semicircular
alignment marks used for lining up the horn section.
