Both Gore's speech from the Los Angles, CA "Superhighway Summit" (which
also featured Mitch Kapor of EFF), Jan. 11, 1994 (including a
supplementary document from the White House in the same file), as well as
Brock Meeks's article summarizing some of the concerns this speech
raises, are now available on EFF's ftp archive.
Do an anonymous ftp to ftp.eff.org, and look in
pub/EFF/Policy/Open_Platform.
The speech and White House document are in the file gore_shs.speech, and
Brock's article (distributed with permission, originally posted on the
WELL), is in the file gore_shs.article.
Also of interest may be Gore's NII speech from December, and an EFF press
release concerning it, in the same directory (gore_nii.speech, and
gore_nii.eff).
