Try "NRI". You will find that in the rs whois database.
If you try "kahn" in the ds database (whois -h ds.internic.net kahn)
you will find him there. If you try "nri" in ds, you will get a list of
most of the folks that work here.

The fact that you can't find these folks using the RS database at the
Internic and using finger may be more a reflection of the rotten
state of Internet directory services than anything that these people have
done or not done. The Internic does not register absolutely everyone
(nor all possible variants of the names they do register), and fingers
are being lopped off in the name of security and privacy.
Seems to me on a different thread here (RE: Inmac), folks are suggesting
that even building such directories may be an invasion of privacy...
