I posted, I think to com-priv also, a solution more easily implemented
that attempted to achieve the same end: Create a new kind of message
(that current news software would just see as a normal message) that
allows positive or negative endorsement of messages. It is a
decentralized system where anyone can 'comment' and a user/admin can
decide who is to be listened to. (Say, validated US teachers for
K-12.) An adult, who I would never want filters forced upon, could
use endorsements to sort or filter messages to increase signal/noise.
The best-of-internet types of things are a simple way of doing this.
I'm going to eventually implement this as mods to INN 1.4? and Tin.
I might only have to modify tin, depending on design decisions.
I'm going to work out the messages and mechanics, but save the
authentication for last.
