Yes. Without reading this article, I have heard the same claim made
of the printing press. I _know_ it was true of VCRs.

Absolutely. Those who want someone else to create a safe environment
for their unsupervised children are explicitly relinquishing control
and requesting someone else to take responsibility for their charge.
It's net.childcare, that's all. I think it's a great idea, but the
technology will have to be adapted somewhat to support it. The
responsibility for payment lies with the parents. An untapped market
clearly awaits.$$
