Whoah! Just a minute!
I believe that if you're going to suck on the public federal teat, you ought
to provide good value for the dollar spent. Otherwise I'm pissed as that's
<my> money you're spending.
On the other hand, a <for profit> firm, IMHO, can do whatever the hell it
wants with compensation. It should be held accountable for same by the
owners, much as the non-profit should be held accountable by the public which
is giving it preferrential treatment (or outright grants of funds).
I thought that was the point I was making before....
