No Digex is not not and never was a competitor. We were miles apart. Also
I am NOT making any allegations about Doug at Digex or taking anything
away from the ANS comments. You must understand that I was a Diamond Mine
customer of ANS. Even active before Digex. The remark I made about Percy
Foster was not an allegation but, simply me repeating exactly what Doug
told me on the phone. Whatever happened does not matter, the statement
was made.

Also there is a parallel between myself and Digex. We were both dealing
with ANS at the same time. We both had many of the same concerns and were
were both told many of the same things by ANS. Doug continued with ANS
where I fired them. I don't care what "sour grapes" this brings up, the
fact is that I was the first company to "Fire" ANS. Promises were made &
not kept to my satisfaction. I reached a level of pain that the profit
would not support. Unlike ANS , I could not bilk the gov't out of millions
and keep going. In short their are much more fun ways in life to make
money and I decided to do that.

As far as the give to get thing - I don't care about business sharks. I expect
a dollars worth of service for a dollars worth of pay. The give and take in
this world makes for good business climates.

Fact is Digex wants to be what they are and I wish them well. They parallel
my company when it came to ANS offers...ie: Full CIX connections without a
CIX fee. I notice alot of people are silent on that, gee. There were other
statements all totally off the wall... Both Doug and I were on the phone with
ANS and were told the same things. Facts are not allegations, just facts.
Doug asked about the CIX- ANS said that the CIX in their opinion was in
violation of the Sherman Anti-trust Act. Well, thats interesting. Fact: ANS
said that they had paid more than $20,000 to the CIX in order to help them
re-write their charter. I am grey if it was supposed to be to ANS lawyers
or CIX, I'd have to check my notes. At any rate, it was denied by CIX
director and main members. For me it was time to bail. I pulled the plug,
ship the trash back (at my expense) and I am very happy. When I see a
line go down - It does not bother me. When I see RS6000 trash - crash , I
laugh. When I see the officers continue to fail at their jobs and still
get paid - I see the reality of it all. Its the good -ole boy club and I
don't want to be a member.

Will all of this keep me from commenting on how my tax dollars are spent ?
No. Do I care, yes. Am I doing it because I quit ANS - NO. Is that what
they will say ? I don't give a hoot. Gordon Cook has interesting doc's on
a variety of subjects relating to this whole situation. I have written
alot of people, I would like to see a Dept of Justice Investigation into the
pricing/positioning thing and as far as the new agreement goes, intend to
protest it and mount a challange to it. Many people think its an outright
waste of money and that there are better choices.

My direct comment in closing to Digital Express would be - you get what you
pay for. You have had some bitch'n times on your link and with the equip.
In the end I wish you well. Take that as a serious comment.

Good Day all.
