Does Ms. Cronin's statement hold any water if the term 'Internet
connection' is replaced with the term 'telephone connection?' I suppose
the logicians on com-priv might argue there are doubtless businesses that
survive nicely without a telephone. But for the rest of us, I think, the
business necessity of a telephone is fairly obvious. I believe the
efficiencies of Internet communications are sufficiently great to ensure
that in a decade or so??? this statement about the Internet will be utterly
non-controversial. Bill W.
