Martin,

(1) The path from you to SUN.COM is not necessarily the path from
    SUN.COM to you, but it _may_ be immaterial in this case.

(2) Are SUN "pioneering" this misuse of the network or have they
    picked it up from somebody else?

(3) When will we progress to the point where we don't have to bother
    about things like this?  (Rhetorical, of course.)
