    If this information is sent unencrypted, all sites in between could now
    have a copy! This would only seem to be effective if there is an associated
    encryption, with a (non-email communicated) key.
    
i suppose we are from different worlds here. when i saw this, i said to
myself "hmmm, finally someone is using FTP as a distribution method for a
product rather than a bug fix", as it is often used. email didnt enter my
mind. i dont think email will *really* be a viable alternative, unless
someone works on the mail system alot. . . . .
