Whatever the difficulties that a small group of administrators would
experience in arranging to maintain the use of standard email addresses,
it is nothing as compared to the wasted effort that would be expended by
tens of thousands of users who would struggle to find the right
incantation to reach desired mail correspondents.   I agree that this is
a terribly short-sighted proposal,
