Miles,

I don't begrudge the cable companies their money - not much, anyay - I
just believe in that $20 per month number as THE magic number. I just wish
I was smart enough to get there. The fee can really be derived from the
cost of Internet access because of the revenue already generated fromthe
entertainment channels. So cost plus some reasonable profit can really
make the $20 mark was my point.

I have also done some work with a large cable company who is currently
doing trials in Alexandria, and the "modem" they are using cost $400. It
runs typically at 400Khz.
