practice in a significant way today. Theoretical hair splitting, while
providing satisfying entertainment to net afficianados, is unappealing to
me.
It seems inappropriate to be disparaging about the care and concern
that have been part and parcel of the development of the resource
that is now being com-priv'd. Attribution of these characteristics
to those who question and hypothesise may shut down debate, but that,
while initially convenient, may be costly in the long run.
