Anyone here who would disagree with the hypothesis that the NSFnet has
been thorughly commercialized?
Anyone here who believes that the high tech, expensive features of a
"bleading edge" NREN can be build on a commercialized production quality
network?
As I continue to transcribe the hearings I am struck by the assertions of
knowledgable people who looking at the same network said on the one hand
that the technology is fully commercial and on the otherhand those who
look at the same technology said oh no it's completely PRE-competitive.
How can ONE network serve both groups?? I don't believe that it can. How
about the rest of the readers of com-priv??
