It is likely that Europe can also access world.std.com, as the link to
.eu.net is via AlterNet. Similarly, Southern Africa, India, and other
civilized parts of the world. It's mostly the backward parts of the US
(i.e. non-CIX/SURA) that are limited to their little view of the world.
Not to panic. Networking will eventually get to Michigan. Remember
the decades it took IBM to discover virtual memory.
